Paula Clayton has worked in elite sport for over 20 years as the senior physical therapist in Premiership and Championship football and for the English Institute of Sport and British Athletics. Having been part of the medical team at Olympic Games (Athens, Beijing, and London), Commonwealth Games, World Championships, and European Championships with Great Britain’s track and field team, Paula is highly experienced and shares this experience with you in all her books.
In addition to her experience in elite sport, Paula has three sports injury clinics and works for BMI hospital as an advanced clinical specialist physiotherapist, heading up their sports injury department. She is the elite sport director for the SMA (The Association for Soft Tissue Therapists), is the MDT coordinator for Sports Injury Fix, and presents at national and international conferences.
She is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine.
Paula's outside interests include scuba diving; skiing; and spending time with her three children, husband, family, and friends.
